After graduating from IUS, I accepted a position with the MSD of Wayne Township in Indianapolis, Indiana.  I taught students at South Wayne Junior High School, which later became Lynhurst 7th and 8th Grade Center, for 5 years before returning home to be with family.  While teaching and completing my masters, I also coached softball, volleyball, swimming and cheerleading.  I spent a lot of time with my students!

I accepted a position at Jeffersonville High School, returning to the school district in which I was educated.  Although very different from the one I attended, I loved working with those students, families and teachers.  I coached track and gymnastics while teaching and going to school.  I was also the sophomore class sponsor and held a position on the leadership team.

My passion is infectious and as a 10th grade English team, we made great gains in student success.  I left the classroom suddenly when a position was created for an Academic Improvement Coordinator.  Working with teachers and staff, we made further gains on graduation rates, standardized test scores and student achievement.

After a year, Greater Clark County Schools was going 1:1 with the Samsung Chromebook.  I accepted a position as an eLearning Coach, once again forging a new frontier for student achievement and teacher success.  It was this experience that sparked my interest in the impact that technology will have in closing the achievement gap and springboarding student success.  When an opportunity arrived, I took a position as Director of Technology and Integration with East Washington School Corporation.   I accepted this position to play a greater role in the movement to build a culture of technology that allows students and teacher the opportunity to create, collaborate and communicate.
