I grew up in Greater Clark County Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School.  Both of my parents also graduated from GCCS, as did both of my sisters and their husbands.  Currently, I have a nephew and two neices attending elementary schools in Greater Clark.

I received my undergraduate degree from Indiana University Southeast (IUS) in Secondary Education, English.  I also studied theatre, math and communications while attending IUS.  After graduating, I continued my studies attending Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) to complete my Master's.  I returned to IUS to complete my +30, receiving my Reading License.  I returned again to IWU to study leadership and received my Building Leadership License.  

I love learning both online and in the classroom.  Online allows me to meet and make friends with people outside where I live.  Attending university in town allows me to connect with colleagues and grow partnerships.

As a true lifelong learner, I continue to study using social media (Pinterest and Twitter) as well as listening to educational podcasts and participating in online book studies and Twitter chats. I am currently studying for my PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate and look forward to my next educational experience!
